Plateau of Renon
The sunny plateau of Renon is situated in Southern South Tyrol. This gorgeous place offers an incredible view on the Dolomites – World Natural Heritage of the Unesco. You can reach the capital Bolzano easily: by car or by cable car. The plateau rises at a medium height of about 1.000 m above the sea level. Notwithstanding the height, the climate is really mild in the winter. In the summer time you can enjoy pleasant temperatures and escape from the heat in the cities.
At the end of spring time the Plateau of Renon offers many possibilities such as hiking, enjoying the mild temperatures, the sunniness and the miraculous view on the Dolomites.
During the summer time, you may go swimming in the lake of Costalovara, which is situated right next to a forest. It has been awarded by the Italian association “Lega Ambiente” for its excellent water quality.
